Hello

My name is Lucy McIntyre. My wife, Kat, and I founded First City Flash in 2024 with the support of local families and coaches. We are parents to 9 wonderful children, including two daughters that play basketball. In our search for a competitive basketball team for our girls, we found no team dedicated to developing talent in the Leavenworth County area. Both Kat and I played basketball at competitive levels when we were younger and have always wanted to get into coaching. We are passionate about our community and saw this as an opportunity to create an AAU club in Leavenworth. We currently have one team (U15 girls), but have plans to expand to other age groups (boys and girls). Our goal is to focus on youth development, both on and off the court, support our local community, and create pathways for youth to play at the next level (high school, college, and beyond). We are working with local businesses to develop sponsorships so that finances aren't a barrier for youth to participate. We appreciate any and all support. We love basketball. We love our family. And we love our community.
